As
a former O’Brien team rider and competitor on the Pro Wakeboard
Tour, Evelyn turned heads with her powerful, stylish riding and
fearless pursuit of big air.
Though contest riding was not her strong suit, she managed a 7th
place finish at the 2000 World Championships, and a 1st place finish
at Canadian Boardstock by stomping tricks like the Whirlybird. She
has traveled the world wakeboarding, and has learned from riding
with some of the best athletes.
Back home in Texas, Evelyn supported Girls Day Out, one of the first
All Ladies Wakeboard Clinics, leading numerous ladies day camps,
as well as gave private instruction to small groups of guys and
gals.
Miss Zerr left the world of competitive wakeboarding and became
Mrs. Nelson, mom to now 2 year old son, Luke. But Evelyn still loves
getting behind the boat and pushing her limits, and is still inspiring
ladies to try harder and go bigger.
